Reading Continuous Delivery

Just a quick update on what’s going on with life right now. My buddy Josh Long recently bought me tons of books for my reading during my free time whilst in army. (Thanks Josh) And I’ve started off with the book called “Continuous Delivery” by Jez Humble and David Farley.

Although I’ve done CI/CD before, I’m still learning quite a bit from it. It shares the deeper understanding and rationale behind why and how of CD. I’m only at page 13 now and I’ve already spotted some problems with companies that claimed to do CI/CD. They seem to do it but they still ain’t doing it right and this book explains why companies can’t achieve the benefits despite having a “CD pipeline”.

My impression so far is that this is a very interesting book with tons of in-depth knowledge and understanding. You should give it a read, even if you already think you know what CI/CD is.
